Draft Rezoning Released for Burwood North Metro Precinct

The NSW Government has unveiled a proposed state-led rezoning for the Burwood North Metro precinct, potentially delivering up to 18,300 new homes and 3,900 jobs within 800 metres of the future station. The draft plan features buildings from 8 to 42 storeys, includes 5–10% affordable housing, and proposes upgrades to open space, roads, and active transport links. Now on public exhibition until 10 April, the proposal is being assessed as a State Significant Rezoning with community submissions invited.
